MATARROMERA, CINCO DÍAS AWARDS

Matarromera adds a prestigious new award to its already extensive list of awards, received throughout his career. This time it was the business journalCincoDías which has awarded the research work of the wine group, giving the award for "Most Innovative Business Project in the Field of New Technologies” because of the product Emina Zer0.0.
The awards jury, chaired by JoaquínEstefanía, director of the School of Journalism UAM / El Pais, was composed by Emilio Ontiveros, founder and president of International Financial Analysts, Ignacio Manrique, deputy CEO of Panda Security, JoaquínChacón, CEO Saft Batteries, Gregory Baker, Director of Brand and Communication of BBVA, and Jorge Rivera, director of CincoDías. The award was established three years ago to commemorate the 30 anniversary of the newspaper.
The jury praised the great investment in R & D & i ofMatarromera Group which comes up to approximately 30% of its annual turnover , the winery company who invest the highest amount dedicated to R + D + I, which allows them to be present in more than 20 research projects.
This project became a reality in 2010, whenEmina Zer0.0 was presented in Alimentaria 2010, a refreshing drink made from alcohol-free wine, winning the prize Innoval forthe most innovative soft drink of the year at the fair.
EMINA ZER0.0 is a completely revolutionary and new product in the market, national and international, and it is the only "non-alcoholic wine" in Spain with such a wide range of products (red, white, pink, sparkling, canned and bottled ...) aimed to a large group of society which can notcosume alcohol because of job, health, religion, etc.
The opening of the Plant Molecular Deconstruction of EMINA ZER0.0, the only one in Europe, was in July this year.
It has also obtained the Halal certificate, a document certifying that their use is suitable for the Muslim community following all the strict quality standards in the processes of the entire range without alcohol.
The awards were presented on the night of October 17th at a gala celebration at the Museodel Prado, where business, political and university worlds met.
Carlos Moro, the president of the winery MATARROMERA at the ceremony, noted that the company is not an end but a beginning in its commitment to R & D. "We want to give special thanks because a small business, from a village in the Ribera del Duero, is here participating in this event that celebrates innovation." He noted that in the area of R & D "can mean not only a laboratory, but the entire staff of the company."
